Tamera - an inspirational community in Portugal

 "If we want peace on Earth we have to find out what peace really means.  Can we imagine a world in which all people have enough food, in which rivers filled with clear water can freely meander, in which children trust adults again and where conflicts no longer lead to violence but are instead solved with intelligence and compassion?

More than thirty years ago a team of pioneers around the psychoanalyst Dr. Dieter Duhm, the theologist Sabine Lichtenfels and the physicist Charly Rainer Ehrenpreis had the idea to develop as demonstrative, practical and convincing model for the future as possible.

Tamera Peace Research Village in Portugal, with its international network, developed from this idea.  This book provides an insight into the current state of Tamera's work in three core areas:  permaculture and water landscape, solar technology and peace education."

Me: After having lived for 95 years, and my childhood under a totalitarian government/Hitler, I have finally arrived at what I consider my global responsibility. Yes, technology, fast-moving medical infusions, and the global pandemic have shifted my orientation toward the need for Global Healing! Whether friends, family members, teachers, or therapists, ask, “What is this? Please explain what you have in mind.” So here it goes! My beliefs: I am reviewing my own life cycle and examining my own healing process. The Multi-Dimensional complex components of Global Healing [EK1]   The Pandemic virus makes neighbors fear neighbors BUT creative ingenuity left a surprise packet on my kitchen doorsteps never having to violate the quarantine rule against assembling. My neighbor left the most thoughtful children’s story which she had written two yes ago. The title of the book says it all: My Two Cities. The biography is about Hanni who 12 years was old when the German Anschluss occurred. Her father, mother, sister and Hanni had to say goodbye to their home, pack up and go to America to escape the Nazi take over. My neighbor may have heard about my interest and work on Global Healing. I have yet to find the most appropriate time to interview her, we have spoken on the telephone and have plans to make a ‘zoom date’ soon. My neighbor and Hanni will be presenting a book talk at the Brookline Public Library tomorrow so I will attend that on Zoom as well. I will keep you updated on what happens next!
